Luxury home sales across the US are showing remarkable range—recent data reveals top transactions from $3.7M all the way up to $130M in different markets. That $130M sale is truly staggering, but even the fifth-priciest homes in four standout metros topped $10M, which speaks volumes about the depth of luxury demand in those cities. I’m always fascinated by how each market tells its own story: in one place, the gap between the five highest-priced sales was tight, running from $24M to $40M, while in others, the spread was much wider. These numbers reflect what’s publicly listed, so there may be even more happening behind the scenes with private deals.
Having helped clients find everything from their very first Montana home to extraordinary properties off the beaten path, I’ve learned that every price tag—luxury or not—means something different to each buyer. My background taught me the value of listening closely and paying attention to what truly matters to my clients, no matter the scale. If you’re curious about the luxury landscape or what’s possible here in Montana, I’m always happy to share insights and help you make a move that feels just right.
