Meanwhile, pending home sales dipped 1.1% week-over-week, marking the lowest point in six months. With the median home price up 1.9% year-over-year to just above $400,000, and average mortgage rates hovering around 7% (a 13-month high), it\u2019s no wonder that some buyers are pausing to reassess their options.<\/p>\n<p>What does this mean if you\u2019re house hunting? Simply put: there\u2019s a bit more breathing room. More options, and in many markets, more negotiating power\u2014especially when it comes to price cuts or seller concessions.
